Thailand: Phi Phi Islands

so after a few days in krabi, we decided to take a ferry to phi phi islands. our main attraction was to see the bay that 'the beach' was filmed at. the island was not what we were expecting. there were no cars, so we walked to our guesthouse. we walked through the waste management plant and wanted to barf everywhere. finally, we walked though this thai boxing stadium, went around the corner into this hallway to find our rooms, haha. it was so creepy that we were staying at a boxing stadium. the rooms were pretty average. at one point there was a centipede crawling around my bag and i had to get rob to come kill it for me and shove it behind the dresser thing, hah. nice having a boy around to kill things and be male security.

we went out to the beach to check it out. it was full of young partiers and the water was a bit dirty. i didnt even get in because my sunburn from before was so bad. i sat under a tree fully dressed while everyone else sunbathed and swam in the ocean. oh, to be pale!

the next day us girls took a boat tour around phi phi islands. our first stop was maya bay, where the beach was filmed. it was sooo beautiful. the water was crystal clear and the sand was so white. it was cloudy, so it could have been prettier, but i was happy the sun wasnt out so i didnt have to sit inside the boat the whole time. we rode around and snorkled and had a really nice day together. we stopped at monkey beach and right when i got there 3 stupid monkeys attacked me and started climbing on me and i freaked out and ran into the ocean so they would leave me alone. those buggers! monkeys are so cute yet so retarded.

the rain/cloudy weather brought us back earlier, but only for us to discover thai pancakes, or fried crepes. i got some with nutella mmmm and honey and bananas. loving thai pancakes. i also got one with tomato ham and cheese and it was so delicious.

later that night rob decided that he wanted to do some thai boxing. so we went to a boxing stadium/bar and he fought some huge guy. it was so crazy! he was surprisingly really good, but he didnt win because the other guy was huge. i would have died. a girl burned me with her cigarette and i wanted to cry. i also had an edge seat and i think everyone in the bar walked by me and grazed their butt on my shoulder. awesome. haha it was such a crazy night.

our time on phi phi was not what we expected. it was a bit too touristy. we wanted something more quiet, so we headed to koh samui. ill disuss that island later :)
