Thailand: Koh Samui

so how we got to koh samui from krabi is amazing. first, we took a truck with an enclosed bed, but an open back, in the rain to a bus station. we thought we would be in this crazy truck for hours so we were relieved when the driver told us to get out, haha. then we got on this double decker bus and i slept next to an english guy for a few hours and then we got out again. we stopped at a weird restaurant and then took another open truck to the ferry. it was a wooden ferry with two stories. the first story is where the crew hung out and the cargo was stored. im pretty sure there was a bird in a box down there because i could hear it squaking. the toilets were also downstairs. or should i say, the nasty ass tiny rooms with holes in the ground and a shower head up top. like seriously. so gross. and a guy outside the door hawking a sick loogie. they all do that here. sooo loud. and they burp like no ones business. the hawking is the worst though. ok, so the top story of the ferry. very low ceilings, probably about 5 feet or so. it was all wooden and there were mats lining each side of the wall. so i slept inbetween jessie and an english girl, haha. it was such a long ferry, we left around 11pm and got to koh samui around 5:45 in the morning.

this lady on the ferry came on convinced us to stay at her bungalow. so the taxi took us there and it was so amazing. they are tiny bungalows right on the beach. we can hear the waves crashing at all times. jessie and i have our own bungalow with two matresses on the floor and little space for anything else. we have a tiny porch and a broom so we can sweep away the sand that trails in every second. ahh we love it here.

the restaurant is pretty nice but the ladies that work there hate all white people. especially us, haha. but there are dogs that live here too. they wander around and are so cute. one of them watched me eat lunch/dinner today. so cute. i got another thai massage last night. but this time with coconut oil. it was amazing. i need to cut it out with the cheap massages because my money is disappearing. and the banana shakes. dangit!

thailand is finally what i expected it to be. quiet beaches, blue water, sunshine and perfect afternoon showers, and dogs and cats everywhere. i get to lay in the sun, lay in my bungalow and read, walk into town, or walk along the beach. it is just nice to finally settle down for a few days and be happy. its nice just having the girls around. rob went to bangkok to pick up cody, so it is girl time. and yes, we did each other's makeup. nbd.

we are loving koh samui, and new hut bungalows. especially during off season :)
