Thailand: the beginning

so we landed in krabi, thailand today. it was so refreshing to know that the beach was only a 40 minute bus ride away! we took a bus to a guesthouse we heard of, and luckily they had some room for us. the rooms are really nice and super cheap! we are paying 150 baht each, which is close to about 5 bucks. amazing

next we ate some indian food. it wasnt as cheap as we anticipated, but it was delicious and spicy as crap. i had some dried fruit naan...mmm..

i got a sarong! on the way to the beach, i haggled a tiny bit for it. it has elephants on it and is obviously from thailand. im pretty excited about it. running into the ocean was the next step! jessie, kadi and i took our bathing suits off immediately. the water was that brown. you know, when you go to thailand, and go to a pretty popular place, you expect the water to be crystal clear. but it wasnt, haha. the sun wasnt out, so hopefully if the sun comes out the water will be bluer and clearer. we all got stung by jellyfishes. awesome. thanks, thailand.

ahh i forgot to mention the amazing rock formations here! there is a huge cliff right next to the beach, and weird little formations out in the distance. for now, we stay where we are (which is an anong or something) for a few days, check out the phi phi (pee pee) islands, and head up toward ranaong.. or however you spell it.

so far so good! i mean, i'm in thailand.
