ive never experienced a place quite like singapore. it is like new york city only clean, no bums, efficient, and crazy laws and punishments. they WILL hang you if you do something bad enough. they dont even sell chewing gum because they dont want it all over the tables and walls.
i feel very safe here and am so thankful to be couchsurfing instead of staying in a cheap hotel (if they even exist here). our hosts are just the nicest folks! they bought us durian and jackfruit and i tried both and wanted to barf. so disgusting i dont know why people like it.
today i went shoppping and we all went to see sex in the city 2 at the mall/movie theater. haha i think i was the only one who couldnt appreciate it. probably the most ridiculous movie ive seen this year. and yes, i have watched troll 2 this year. sex in the city, i love you, but this film was a low point.
tonight we are going out to clark quay! it is the fancy bay/harbor thing with bars and clubs and stuff. the alcohol will be expensive, so we will probably stay clear and just dance.
we bought our tickets to thailand today! now we just need to figure out how to get to malaysia. please pray that we stay safe!
