haad yuan is a quiet beach with nothing but a few bungalows with restaurants, a bar that serves mushroom shakes and plays incredibly loud music, and a mini mart type shop. it was overcast our whole time there, but it was so nice to relax. there are dogs everywhere. jessie and i shared a bungalow again and over our bed we had a blue mosquito net! which we needed because the gnats were crazy. our place had great service and the people were super nice. we each had a hammock on our porch too, which was nice.
this place makes their yogurt and their bread. i was obsessed. i got yogurt and honey for breakfast on a daily basis. at 7pm, a nearby bungalow would show a couple movies. so we got in the habit of eating there and sticking around for the movies. we watched knocked up, cinderella man, 50 first dates, and blow. it was so nice to escape myself and my life for a bit and feel like i was back home watching a movie. i was so thankful for that.
we barely did anything in haad yuan. it was time to rest. the beach wasn't even half a mile long, haha. but it was nice. we had to take boat taxis to other parts of the island because the island is very mountainous and its hard to drive places on land.
after staying in haad yuan for a few days, we decide to find a place that does thai massage certification. and on to thong sala..
