baaahhh sorry i suck at updating this thing. throughout the day these awesome things happen and i think to myself 'i should write about this in my blog' and then i forget.
for the 4th of july, jeab and nung (jeab runs the massage place and nung is her boyfriend
's friend) took us to a local festival. they had little girls from the local school doing little dance recitals that were hilarious and repetitive. there was a group of young boys in front of us who kept staring at kadi and making faces at her, hah. and dogs running around. as usual. they had really cheap street food and clothes and scrunchies. so many scrunchies. the clothes they were selling were like all from america. pretty interesting how that worked. then it started to rain and we all sat under a tent for the longest time until nung ran to get the truck. happy 4th of july!
the day before that jeab, nung, and fawn (the daughter of the woman we bought lunch from.. shes 9) took all of us on a big adventure. we four-wheeled it up a mountain to koh phanan national park, where they had a quiet beach. before the beach we layed out blankets and had a picnic. sweet chicken held together by two sticks, sticky rice, vegetables, and other things that were too spicy for me to even think about eating. it was so lovely and delicious. but this beach was probably my favorite beach yet. no trash, no rocks, turquoise, cool water, and soft sand. it was soo beautiful! the best part is that there was some minor cliff jumping! luckily kelly had her waterproof camera so we got to document how awesome it was. we stayed there for so long. we also played with fawn for a long time, even though she knew little to no english. its so cute how language doesnt really matter with children. they still have a great time. then jeab took us to some more beaches and to see some of her friends.
after the beaches jeab took us all shopping in the market. because she brought 4 white girls to buy things we all got a discount. dont worry, i got a onsie/pants. so did kadi :)
